Mr. A.B.M. Badrud Doulah, a senior lawyer and holding post-graduate degrees in Laws and Education, founded the firm in 1965 under the name "Doulah & Doulah" with the assistance of his father Mr. M. A. Rahman, who was formerly an Assistant Editor of The Hindustan Times, New Delhi. In 1973 he was joined in partnership by his younger brother Mr. A.B.M. Shamsud Doulah.
